Sip, savour, and explore France with Rosie Cupitt. From Bordeaux to Sancerre, this intimate tour promises unforgettable moments for wine and food lovers.

Dear Wine Club Members,

Most people know about my deep love for France (and Italy). For 12 years, I was privileged to guide small groups through the France I hold dear, sharing the hidden gems and unforgettable experiences that have shaped my passion for this beautiful country. I’m thrilled to announce that I will resume these tours in 2025, starting with an exclusive journey through Bordeaux, the Dordogne, and the Loire Valley, beginning on 30 August 2025 in the enchanting city of Bordeaux.

This intimate tour is limited to 8 guests, and our Wine Club members have first access.

What Awaits You on This Exclusive Tour

  • Bordeaux: France’s Wine Capital:We begin in Bordeaux City, a hub of stunning architecture and rich wine heritage. Our stay will be in a chic boutique hotel, perfectly located for exploring the city. Over two days, we’ll dine at two distinct restaurants, offering contrasting yet equally exquisite culinary experiences. From here, we’ll venture to St. Émilion to tour ancient underground cellars and sample the iconic Merlot-dominant wines of the Right Bank while soaking in the picturesque countryside.
  • The Médoc and Coastal Beauty:Moving on to the Médoc, we’ll stay amidst the world-famous vineyards of St. Estèphe for three nights. During our stay, we’ll visit wineries, explore the windswept coastline of Cap Ferret, and indulge in lunches at a historic winemakers’ bistro and a seaside gem in Cap Ferret.
  • Monpazier: Gardens and Gourmet Delights:On our journey to Monpazier, we’ll tour a private garden and hear its fascinating history. This vibrant region will be our home for two nights, with dinners awaiting us each evening at the hotel's Michelin restaurant. The days will be dedicated to exploring the local wineries of the Dordogne and its celebrated gardens.
  • The Loire Valley: Châteaux and Chenin Blanc:Our next two-night stay is in the Western Loire Valley, which is famous for Chenin Blanc (Vouvray) and the iconic Chateaux of the Kings and the gardens created in them. We'll stay in a true fairytale-style Chateau and scoot around the Chateaux and gardens between wine tastings. We'll also reconnect with an old friend at his Chemery vineyard to see his limestone cellar, 45 meters underground.
  • Sancerre: Sauvignon Blanc and Goat Cheese:Our next stop is Sancerre, the home of Sauvignon Blanc. Here, we’ll visit my dear friend and mentor, Alphonse Mellot, to explore his extraordinary underground winery and taste wines made by his family for over 500 years. We’ll also experience the region’s celebrated goat’s cheese and dine at a village restaurant I hold close to my heart.
  • Le Doyenné: A Grand Finale:For our final night, we’ll stay at the stunning Le Doyenné, a renovated barn estate featuring an exceptional restaurant helmed by Australian chefs James Henry and Shaun Kelly. After a farewell dinner and breakfast, guests can seamlessly travel onward to Paris.
